Material-process interactions in particle bed 3D printing and the underlying physics

This paper focuses on material-process interactions in particle bed binding. After a classification of binding techniques currently available for cement-based materials, the most important and their underlying physics are discussed detail selective cement activation (SCA) paste intrusion technique (SPI). Here, we consider sub-processes layer application, compaction, fluid penetration after printing treatment. We show that, by varying material process parameters these sub-processes, resulting properties printed component, such as compressive strength, durability dimensional accuracy, can be specifically controlled. Furthermore, illustrate how both understood described basis mechanisms physically based models.
